Which doors to open and which to close? – Finding Balance in Recovery Through Hypnosis
Hypnosis is not a technique which change patients, but strengthens relationships, allowing patients to make changes themselves when necessary. As patients feel more competent, their relationship with themselves, their resources, and their ability to cope with difficult situations also improve. During the presentation, I will discuss clinical cases of patients who regained their health by establishing strong relationships. They decided what they needed more and what they need less of in their lives in order to recover. They chose which doors to open and which to close.

Workshop „The door for a new yourself“
This presentation will show how clinical hypnosis helps patients who have experienced loss.
Trauma is often accompanied by a sense of loss—loss of security, faith in the future, hope, and sometimes a loved one. For cancer patients at an oncology hospital, this can mean the loss of a body part, such as a breast, nose, tongue, or even a face.
Stories of healing and Ericksonian hypnosis help patients find the strong and healthy parts within themselves that support recovery from trauma.
Educational goals are achieved by presenting clinical cases.
– How to create or find the right story for the patient.
– Where to look for resources that will strengthen the patient;
– How to protect yourself as a therapist from trauma in order to work effectively in difficult circumstances without experiencing burnout.
